A lot of our success is down to having our own pharmacies, manufacturers and products – spearheaded by leading in-house medical teams, researchers and pharmacists. Between 2023 and 2024 our global revenue tripled; £60m to £180m (200% year-on-year growth). We're looking to do the same in 2025; move into new territories and further accelerate our growth journey. The Opportunity
Reporting into VP International, this role is responsible for all phases of market entry, evaluating the opportunity, developing the right operating model and getting the business live, driving core workstreams and mobilising all departments across the business for launch.
What you'll do
- Oversee deep-dive market assessments (including e.g. regulation, legal, licensing, market size, competition, and right-to-win) to confirm feasibility and define operating model for shortlisted markets
- Build and analyse cases for market entry, including P&L projections, pricing strategy, fulfilment approach, and legal/regulatory implications and synthesise for go/no go recommendations to leadership and board
- Oversee all aspects of launching a new market, including setting and managing the overall launch plan, timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination
- Provide robust project management to ensure timely execution and mitigate risks associated with expansion, as well as delivering a regular cadence of updates to key senior stakeholders
- Secure all necessary regulatory approvals, business licences and commercial partnerships (e.g., pharmacies, prescribers, distributors, fulfillment partners)
- Make business recommendations on scope adjustments to strike the right balance between long-term growth objectives and speed to market
- Detailed understanding of market dynamics, understanding unit economics for launches and profitability requirements. Input on pricing, discounting & monetisation
- Define go-to-market proposition, market positioning, USPs and how we will win based on detailed market research
- Work with the VP of International and other XFN stakeholders to ensure there is an appropriate launch strategy and 100 day plan in place for new market launches
- Support commercial and regulatory partnership development, including contract negotiations with pharmacies, prescribers, fulfilment, and distribution providers
What you'll bring to HeliosX
- Proven track record of successfully launching market expansion initiatives in fast-paced organisations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and drive results
- Proven ability to bring cross-functional stakeholders together around a vision, and turn that vision into action.
- Experience working in or alongside highly regulated industries such as, healthcare or pharmaceuticals etc
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage senior leaders, influence cross-functionally and push for decisions.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities, with a structured and analytical approach to identifying root causes, evaluating options, and implementing effective solutions.
- Commercially minded, with strong strategic thinking and the ability to balance big-picture vision with detailed execution.
- Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities in the D2C and pharmacy healthcare space is desirable but not a must
