Your Impact

We are looking for a passionate and technically strong Lead Engineer to play a central role in the success of our global Engineering Graduate Programme. In this unique role, you will combine your software engineering expertise with a commitment to developing the next generation of engineering talent.

Working closely with the Graduate Programme Manager and engineering leaders, you will help shape the design of the programme, deliver technical training, and act as a mentor and coach for graduates. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both building high-quality software and building the skills of others.

Key Responsibilities

Graduate Programme Design & Delivery

  • Contribute to the design of the Engineering Graduate Programme, ensuring it provides a structured and impactful development journey.
  • Support the Graduate Programme Manager in creating rotations, technical training modules, and learning pathways aligned to business needs.
  • Provide input on graduate assessment, project assignments, and skill development milestones.

Technical Training & Coaching

  • Design and deliver technical workshops, coding sessions, and best practice seminars for graduates.
  • Act as a technical coach, supporting graduates in developing their software engineering skills (e.g., coding standards, testing, design principles, agile practices).
  • Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to help graduates accelerate their technical growth.

Mentoring & Graduate Support

  • Serve as a mentor to graduates, offering career advice, encouragement, and professional development support.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive culture where graduates feel empowered to ask questions, experiment, and learn.
  • Facilitate peer-to-peer learning by encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing among the graduate cohort.

Programme Operations Support

  • Assist the Graduate Programme Manager with coordinating programme activities, events, and reporting.
  • Contribute to graduate onboarding and induction, ensuring a seamless integration into the engineering community.
  • Provide feedback and insights on graduate performance, progress, and potential.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Significant experience as a Software Engineer, with strong coding, design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, or train junior engineers or students.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong interest in developing people and supporting early careers talent.
  • Knowledge of agile development practices, modern software engineering tools, and collaborative development environments.
