*About The Role*
We are seeking a seasoned, strategic individual for the role of a Snr Product Manager to drive and elevate our global Unified Commerce payment offering. As a central pillar of our organization, Unified Commerce payments are core to our global expansion, and we need an experienced individual to expand this essential product line. This is a high-impact, highly visible role, designed for a forward-thinking professional who will help define our strategy, roadmap and go to market criteria.

The Shift4 acquisition of Global Blue significantly increases the target addressable market across both Retail and Hospitality segments. The role will help drive a full stack payment offering (including local payment methods), with tax free shopping (TFS) and dynamic currency conversion (DCC), to offer a best-in-class solution.

In this role, you will work closely with our Commercial, Operational and Product & Tech teams to shape our Unified Commerce product strategy, define requirements, and identify opportunities to deliver market competitive solutions.

There will be a particular emphasis here on defining relevant local payment methods for target markets in addition to identifying other product and got to market requirements for geographical expansion.

You'll partner with relevant stakeholders to understand key challenges, define local market requirements and address gaps, translating strategic goals into actionable product roadmaps, in addition to driving the go to market deliverables.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Strategy and Roadmap: Help define and execute a comprehensive product & G2M strategy for unified commerce (including local payment methods), across Retail & Hospitality segments, ensuring alignment with global business objectives and positioning Shift4 as a leader in global unified payment acceptance.
  • Product Features: Assist with defining product requirements, change management and prioritization for relevant software features and partner requirements. Ensure technical partner teams have clear requirements aligned to build methodologies.
  • Merchant & Partner Requirements: Work closely with commercial leads, partners and key customers in formatting new product features relevant to Shift4 growth strategy and business retention.
  • Tech Domain Requirements: ensure clear requirements are documented and aligned with tech domain teams. This will cover terminals, e-commerce, Processing, Acquiring, Portal & Reporting, On-boarding across Unified Commerce.
  • Market Changes: Gain insight and comparison into market trends and competitor offerings ensuring Shift4's unified commerce offering is best in class for relevant target segments and geos. Take into consideration the diversity of the global markets and relevant local requirements.
  • Go to Market: Collaborating with marketing colleagues, ensure commercial teams have relevant product collateral relating to unified solutions. Working closely with relevant colleagues, to ensure a robust and comprehensive product launch process for all new Unified Commerce products in relevant markets.
  • Solution Scaling: Define enterprise solutions & Local Payment Methods (LPM's) that help scale integrated, software solutions including Tax Free shopping, DCC, hospitality and retail vertical solutions and other relevant Value add 3rd party Applications.
  • Integration Strategy: Working with global partners, help ensure all relevant go to market criteria is covered for new integrations and local market deployments
  • Geographic Expansion: Define local requirements to ensure that the proposition is fit for purpose in targeted countries with relevant localization where needed.

*Requirements:*

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of progressive and industry related experience – specifically in the financial services and/or financial technology industry.
  • Experience in payments acceptance and processing
  • Strong understanding of various payment mechanisms: credit card, debit card, e-commerce, and emerging payment options
  • Knowledge of project management solutions such as MS Project, Jira or Confluence.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application level and operational requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with business teams and leadership.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Driven and self-motivated: with an exceptional ability to learn new technology and domains quickly
