We are looking for a talented Senior Policy Advisor to join our research and innovation policy team to deliver an influential evidence-based policy programme.

You will work with some of the country's best innovators, researchers and business leaders to ensure their experiences inform policy development so that the UK has a dynamic and thriving ecosystem for engineering R&D and innovation.

You will get to work on a wide range of topics, from investment in R&D to deep-tech spinouts and scale-ups, and from research culture to industrial strategy. You must have strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal skills and a proven ability to deliver high-quality evidence-based work at pace. You will be a creative policy professional, always looking to develop new approaches to achieve policy impact and raise our profile.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to shape the Academy's research and innovation policy work and we'll provide you with excellent support to help make that happen.

Our location

Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James's Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.
