Materia Ventures' vision is to be the enabler of global cannabis access. Materia is developing a robust manufacturing and distribution ecosystem to grow the legal cannabis market across the European continent. With its expert, research driven team and state-of-the-art technology, Materia focuses on the high-margin downstream activities of processing, formulation and distribution into markets wherever there is a patient in need of cannabis medicine.

We are hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager to support a number of strategic projects being led by the Materia management team and European country leads. This role will be based out of our London, UK office. Reporting into the Managing Director of Europe, the Marketing & Communications Manager will assist in the creation and delivery of all publicly facing elements of Materia's business and help drive the company's marketing strategy and planning. The incumbent will run and build out the company's social media strategy, website development, and publicly facing content. This role requires a reliable professional with broad knowledge of marketing, design, and social media principles.

In this job you will be responsible for…

· Leading website refresh, including copywriting

· Drafting and coordinating corporate press releases

· Developing and executing a social media plan across all corporate Materia Ventures

accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)

· Creating and maintaining Materia Ventures' creative asset library

· Supporting the brand development of consumer and patient-facing brands in markets

across Europe

· Developing branded templates for presentations

· Planning conference and exhibition presence, including booth design and marketing

materials

· Coordinating corporate marketing initiatives such as white papers and investor

updates

We are looking for someone with...

· 3-5 years' experience working in a marketing or communications capacity

· Prowess and comfort in both design and copywriting-based projects

· Proficient skills with design tools like Photoshop, Sketch, etc.

· Experience writing in different contexts, including websites, press releases and

corporate presentations

· Deep understanding of social media

· Resourceful and flexible with a "startup" attitude

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

· Cannabis industry knowledge a plus
