Role: Social Media Manager (Full-Time, Manchester)

Salary:

  • Full time role : £2250/month, with room for growth

As a Social Media Manager at
Shot Social
, you'll be responsible for executing, optimizing, and scaling short-form content strategies across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels for some of the world's leading creators, entrepreneurs, and brands.

You'll work closely with the Client Success and Creative teams to ensure every clip is posted correctly, captions align with brand tone, and growth insights are tracked daily.

This is not a generic scheduler role - it's a
hands-on, analytical, and creative position
focused on performance, brand alignment, and consistency.

Core Responsibilities
1. Posting & Execution

  • Manually post content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels daily (no scheduling tools).
  • Optimize post times and hashtags based on platform data and audience trends.
  • Write, upload, and proof captions according to each client's brand guidelines (hook, summary, CTA format).
  • Ensure all tags, credits, and CTAs are accurate.
  • Maintain consistent posting frequency (e.g., 15-30 clips/day across clients) Posting Monday-Saturday.

2. Content QA & Brand Alignment

  • Review final edits before posting -check for correct captions, on-screen text, audio sync, and reel cover accuracy.
  • Verify that brand tone, formatting, and caption structures follow client-specific playbooks.
  • Flag inconsistencies or errors to editors or the Client Success Manager immediately.
  • Track live posts and ensure no duplicates or upload errors.

3. Analytics & Reporting

  • Track platform insights: reach, views, engagement rate, follower growth, watch time, and saves.
  • Report top-performing posts weekly and suggest content patterns or hook styles to double down on.
  • Identify underperforming clips and recommend optimizations (caption rewrite, different thumbnail, repost time).
  • Assist in monthly performance reports per client.

4. Community & Engagement

  • Respond to comments, engage with followers, and encourage conversation on key posts.
  • Monitor DMs or comments for lead opportunities (especially for creators or speakers).
  • Flag viral comments or high-engagement threads for internal reposting or clipping.

5. Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work with editors, designers, and timestampers to prepare posting queues.
  • Communicate daily with the Client Success Manager for updates, approvals, and schedule tracking.
  • Keep Notion, Slack, and fully updated with post links, performance data, and client feedback.
  • Coordinate with (Client Success Manager) to execute weekly and monthly posting plans.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years
    managing social content for creators, brands, or agencies.
  • Deep understanding of
    TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts
    , and native posting workflows.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an eye for
    hooks, storytelling, and captions
    .
  • Attention to detail — every caption, tag, and post must be 100% accurate.
  • Analytical mindset — comfortable interpreting insights and adjusting strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Notion, Slack, and Google Sheets preferred.

Success Metrics

  • Consistent 100% on-time manual posting rate.
  • Improved engagement rate and reach month over month.
  • Zero posting/caption errors across clients.
  • Documented weekly insights shared in Notion.
  • Clear communication and proactive reporting to CSM.
