Steadman Brown are working with a leading media organisation based in Peterborough, known for its fast-paced environment and commitment to delivering high-quality service across multiple platforms.

As part of a short-term project to bolster IT support operations, the company is seeking a proactive and technically capable Service Desk Administrator to join their internal IT team on a 3 month FTC. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in service desk environments, particularly with tools like ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. While some exposure to Salesforce is beneficial, the primary focus will be on administering and supporting core IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Citrix.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal users across the organisation
  • Manage and triage service desk tickets using tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent
  • Administer user accounts and permissions in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Citrix
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware and software setup
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to resolve incidents and escalate complex issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a service desk or IT support role within a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with service desk ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, Zendesk)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and Citrix environments
  • Some exposure to Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
