Meet the Team

We are looking for Senior App Engineers to join the Self-Learning Team, which develops tools that help students expand vocabulary, master conversation, and improve comprehension. Your work will directly shape how millions of learners study and communicate every day.

What You'll Do

  • Build high-quality, scalable features for Preply's mobile apps using React Native, delivering them through our A/B experimentation framework.

  • Work closely with product, design, data, and learning teams to turn learning science into engaging product experiences.

  • Own features end-to-end, from prototype to monitoring in production, continuously improving performance and reliability.

  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help elevate engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews.

  • Contribute to discussions on architecture, tooling, and best practices that keep our apps fast, stable, and enjoyable to use.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in mobile development, including 3+ years with React Native.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with libraries like Reanimated, Skia, Apollo Client, Expo, and React Navigation.

  • Proven ability to build and ship products end-to-end, including monitoring and optimizing them after launch.

  • Solid testing experience (unit and e2e) and familiarity with modern CI/CD workflows.

  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset; you enjoy solving problems with diverse teammates.

  • Familiarity with agile development and a drive to improve both code and process.
