Job Description

Role: Bookkeeper - York based (free parking, just out of city centre)

A great opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a small, friendly growing practice based in York.

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 negotiable (depending on experience)

Company pension scheme

28 days holiday per annum

Free parking

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (this can be flexible for the right candidate)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day bookkeeping on Sage, Xero & Freeagent.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and EC reports
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Process month end journals

My client operates Virtual Cabinet (internal paperless document management system).

Full training will be provided on Xero & Freeagent if required.

Requirements

  • Preferably minimum of 2 years experience
  • Confident on general VAT rules, including basic international transactions.
  • Capable of managing own workflow and clients.
  • Great communicator with clients and colleagues.
  • May be required to visit clients on site, therefore own transport required.
