Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall management of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and experience working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Lead and motivate staff to deliver high-quality care and education to children.
  • Support the development and implementation of educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the local community to enhance the nursery's reputation.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, parents, and external agencies regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
  • Oversee the safety and cleanliness of the nursery environment, ensuring it is conducive to learning and play.
  • Manage staff schedules, training, and performance reviews to ensure a well-functioning team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting.
  • Strong background in early childhood education or related fields.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel for work-related duties.
