We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing exceptional service to patrons in a lively and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous hospitality experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
  • Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure all drinks are served promptly while maintaining high-quality presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
  • Provide friendly and attentive service to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are important qualities
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and most weekends as required
  • A responsible approach to alcohol service and customer care
