Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance Analyst, eToro Money UK

Role Summary
We are constantly growing and are excited to share that we are looking for a Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance Analyst, eToro Money UK team
This position is ideal for someone with
3-5 years of experience
, to operate as an Analyst as part of a FinCrime team of 6 in the UK, and reporting directly to the MLRO.
As part of this team, the main areas you will specifically be responsible for are:
Financial Crime
- Responding to 1LoD escalations involving high-risk and monitored customers, including PEPs/RCAs, sanctioned individuals, and subjects with adverse media.
- Providing timely reports to the MLRO regarding identified risk issues and control gaps.
- Advising the business on financial crime matters, including guidance on account opening and closure for both retail and corporate clients, as well as other complex or grey-area cases.
- Supporting investigations into cryptocurrency and FX transactions, SAR submissions, and responses to law enforcement requests.
- Contributing to the governance framework of the Financial Crime team by assisting in the drafting of policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements, and helping the 1LoD effectively implement them.
- Performing 2LoD quality assurance reviews across financial crime controls and supporting the execution of the compliance monitoring plan.
- Conducting horizon scanning and intelligence reporting on local and global financial crime trends, risks, and events.
- Designing and delivering training materials and sessions covering a broad range of financial crime typologies and associated control measures.
- Supporting financial crime-related projects and system integrations, collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and product managers.
- Leading risk assessments and periodic reviews of system configurations and parameter settings.
- Undertaking other ad hoc tasks or projects, such as supporting APP/PSR initiatives and contributing to REP017 regulatory reporting.
Regulatory Compliance
- Execution of the regulatory compliance monitoring programme.
- Horizon scanning
- Involvement in the drafting and ongoing maintenance of robust policies and procedures across the regulatory compliance domain.
- The submission of ad hoc & routine reporting to the FCA, including formal notifications (where required).
- The review and approval of financial promotions / marketing campaigns.
- Giving general compliance support.
- Monitoring the complaints handling and vulnerability processes and reviewing and reporting on root cause analysis.
- Responding to Financial Ombudsman Service cases.
- Ensuring that the Firm maintains accurate, detailed and up to date records across all areas of the Firm's business.
Requirements:
- AML/Financial Crime qualifications are advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years' of experience
in Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, or AML within a 2LoD function. - Proven experience with Consumer Duty, complaints handling, and FCA regulatory compliance, including CASS, Visa/Mastercard schemes, and EMI payment compliance/reporting.
- Strong background in financial crime risk management, including fraud (APP scams, card fraud), AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and CDD/EDD/KYC.
- In-depth knowledge of EMI, PSP, and card issuing operations.
- Recognised subject matter expert in Electronic Money Regulations, Payment Services Regulations, Money Laundering Regulations, and PSD2.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across global teams and stakeholders in both 1LoD and 2LoD.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic and evolving regulatory landscape.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
