Here at Ocado Logistics, our mission is simple: deliver an exceptional customer experience for our partners by combining cutting-edge technology, world-class operations, and innovative thinking. We're expanding rapidly—opening new sites, developing ground-breaking automation, and building global partnerships that are transforming the way the world shops.
We're the beating heart of Ocado Group's UK operations. Our network of advanced warehouses and offices keeps products moving, customers happy, and our proprietary technology performing at its best. And for our people, we offer a career full of variety, impact, and possibilities.
About the Opportunities
Our Analytics function is growing, with several new Analyst roles available across multiple teams. Depending on the role, you could be working on projects that shape how we optimise delivery routes, plan future networks, and enhance the customer experience for our partners.
You may focus on:
- Route optimisation – improving how we design delivery routes, plan capacity, manage timings, and match resource to demand.
- Network planning & scenario modelling – identifying the most efficient operational setup for the next 3–18 months across people, vehicles, sites, and assets.
- Labour planning transformation – supporting a rebuild of how we forecast, schedule, and resource labour to create a more flexible network and better work-life balance for our colleagues.
- Data, tooling, and reporting development – helping develop a best-in-class data and insight stack that powers decision-making across Logistics.
- Across all roles, you'll identify performance drivers and customer pain points, uncover root causes of inefficiency, and deliver insight that enables proactive, data-driven improvements across our global operations.
What you'll do:
- Use analytical skills to extract, interpret, and visualise data to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security best practice.
- Identify trends and carry out root-cause analysis to drive improvements in KPIs.
- Collaborate with teams across Logistics, Finance, Technology, and our commercial partners.
- Support a data-driven culture that improves processes and enhances overall business performance.
What we're looking for:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical proficiency (e.g., SQL, VBA, or similar programming/scripting languages).
- Experience using or building BI tools to create insightful, impactful reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting findings to stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
What to expect in the interview process
- Intro call (30 minutes): Phone/Google Meet with Lead Recruiter.
- Case Study: Short analytical task completed by candidates who pass initial screening.
- Interviews: One or two stages focused on scenario-based, behavioural, and technical questions, including discussion of your case study.
During the first call, we'll discuss your skills, interests, and experience to determine the best match across our available Analyst roles.
Please note: These positions are not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract.
We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and equipped to thrive. In addition to a safe and collaborative environment, you'll benefit from an award-winning recognition programme and a competitive benefits package, including:
- Flexible work: 30 days of 'work from anywhere'.
- Wellbeing support: Dedicated wellbeing apps and an Employee Assistance Programme.
- Generous leave: 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after five years, with options to buy more.
- Pension: Up to 7% employer contribution matching.
- Private medical insurance.
- Family-friendly policies including maternity, adoption, shared parental, and paternity leave.
- Financial support: Interest-free season ticket loans and Cycle to Work Scheme.
- Free shuttle bus services.
- Share schemes and a 15% discount, plus savings with major retailers and restaurants.
- Income Protection and Life Insurance.
Ocado Group is an equal-opportunities employer. We ensure all candidates are treated fairly and without discrimination. If you require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.
