Data/ Pricing Analyst

We are one of the UK's leading jewellery manufacturers, producing a wide range of items including wedding and engagement rings, earrings, pendants, and diamond bracelets. We are looking for a Data/ Pricing Analyst who will be based in our Hatfield office and provide support our fast-moving tech team.

In this role, you will help manage product data, support pricing analysis, and assist with technical product development. You will work closely with the senior management team as well as the IT and product teams. We have a flat organisational structure, so your ideas and input will be valued from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Creating & maintaining complex spreadsheets with product data, pricing, exchange rates, alloy conversions, diamond details & product attributes
  • Managing & preparing product information for publishing on our portal
  • Build PowerQuery files to import product, customer & supplier info into our systems
  • Regular reviewing pricing structure, creating rules & performing margin analysis
  • Preparing CSV/JSON/XML data for migrating from legacy software
  • Sanitising pricing documents for accurate calculations & clear formatting
  • Writing and updating SQL queries to gather data & build reports
  • Documenting data structure and key processes clearly for internal handover

Requirements

  • High level of Excel proficiency
  • Strong understanding of PowerQuery syntax
  • Understanding of database management (SQL server, MySQL)
  • Proficient with English Language
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team including regular meetings & updating a centralised task manager
  • Adaptable – can work on a quickly changing roadmap based on the project requirements. May need to learn new solutions on the fly.
