ApplyLocation: Pontypool, Torfaen, United KingdomEarnings: £ to £ 0 ]">Salary- £23,970 rising to £24,480 on completion of probation (pro rata)Location- Covering Torfaen: Including refuge and communityContract Type- Workplace basedHours & Working Pattern29.5 hours per weekNegotiable on how many days this is over and times between Monday to Friday within the hours of 9-6All team members must work flexibly on occasions to meet the needs of the Charity and the people we supportParticipate at Tier 2 for the organisational emergency on call system (paid)Accountable to- Refuge Service CoordinatorPurpose Of The PostTo provide specialised, trauma-informed support to adults and families who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse, harm, or violence, within our accommodation and community services across TorfaenThis includes regular time as part of a rota in our Torfaen Hwb, providing trauma-informed responses to referrals, undertaking compassionate, strengths-based conversations to understand need and risk for adults and families who have experienced domestic and /or sexual abuse, harm, or violence.Specific ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with team members to provide person-led support to a caseload of adults and/or families across all services in TorfaenCreating a safe, respectful environment where individuals feel heard, have choice, and are supported to make informed decisions about their future.Regularly assess and sensitively manage risk, working in partnership with individuals to promote safety in a way that is inclusive, strengths-based, and enabling.Support individuals to co-develop personalised support and/or safety plans, ensuring goals are meaningful, achievable, and led by the person's own priorities and experiences.Adhere to safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures, responding to concerns promptly and appropriately, while maintaining a trauma-informed and non-judgemental approach.Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records that reflect the support provided, ensuring documentation is respectful, person-centred, and aligned with best practice.Work collaboratively with colleagues and the Facilities Coordinator to ensure accommodation services are safe, welcoming, and psychologically informed, including compliance with health and safety standards.Support individuals to sustain their accommodation, including understanding and upholding licence agreements or contracts, and take a person-led approach to preparing for independent living.Provide clear, compassionate signposting to internal and external services, based on the individual's expressed needs, interests, and readiness to engage.Create regular opportunities for feedback, such as through house meetings or informal check-ins, to ensure services are continuously shaped by the voices of those we support.Contribute to audits and reporting requirements, engaging positively with improvement plans and recognising the value of reflective learning in service development.Actively participate in clinical and managerial supervision, using these spaces for reflection, learning, and maintaining emotional wellbeing.Build and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with external agencies, championing the needs and rights of those we support.General ResponsibilitiesContribute to the:Development and achievement of our Vision, Mission and Objectives.Promotion of our values, culture and aspirations.Creation of a safe, supportive and explorative working environment.Promotion of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.Upholding of our Policies and Procedures.It may be necessary, following consultation, to amend the job description in light of experience and changing circumstances.Closing Date: 4th December 2025Due to the nature of these roles, they are only open tofemale applicants(Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
