Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Candidates with experience in senior care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or childcare are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Administer medication following prescribed schedules and protocols
  • Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safety during transportation
  • Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary
  • Monitor clients' health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
  • Support families by providing guidance on home care routines and behavioural management

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration and behaviour management
  • Experience working with elderly individuals or those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is advantageous
  • First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
  • Valid driving licence is beneficial for roles involving transportation of clients
  • Previous caregiving roles involving heavy lifting or physical support are valued
  • Childcare experience can be considered an asset for supporting younger clients or family members

Job is 5 minutes from Falham underground station, 11.30am to 3.30pm 5 days a week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00 per hour
