Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support in a home care environment. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a safe and comfortable setting. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans diligently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each client's requirements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times within their home environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is desirable.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is an advantage.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
