My client is seeking an
Senior Legal Counsel
to join them on a
6-month fixed-term contract
. This interim position will play a key role in supporting our legal and governance functions.

The Role:

  • Undertake Deputy Monitoring Officer duties, providing essential oversight and assurance across governance matters.
  • Collaborate closely with and support teams across Legal, Information Governance, Data Protection, and Corporate Complaints.
  • Provide expert legal advice on the most complex and high-risk matters, ensuring the organisation operates within a strong and compliant legal framework.
  • Review key reports and deliver high-level legal insight and recommendations to the Executive Management Team.
  • Pick up additional senior-level legal work as required to support business continuity.

This interim post provides cover while my client reviews and shapes their future legal structure. It offers a valuable opportunity to bring your expertise to a period of change and help influence the evolution of their legal services.

The Profile:

  • England & Wales Qualified Lawyer
  • Strong understanding of governance, public sector law, and risk management
  • Excellent judgement and communication skills, with the ability to advise senior leaders
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary legal and governance teams
