Halifax, Calderdale, United Kingdom MVR - Jobs for Vet Surgeons & Vet Nurses Full time £40,000 - £60,000 per year

We are recruiting for a Vet Surgeon to join the team a growing first opinion small animal veterinary practice in the Halifax area, West Yorkshire

  • full time opportunity working 4 days a week and 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota with no OOH.
  • practice is growing and successful with up to date state of the art equipment including; in-house digital X-ray, IM3 dental X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory, surgical suite, class IV laser therapy machine, separate dog/cat/isolation wards
  • varied surgical and medical caseload including several advanced procedures including complex soft tissue, orthopaedics and the majority of medical cases in-house
  • Ideally you will already have 2 years + experience and wanting to progress your career and further develop your interests.
  • individual interests are supported.
  • join a lovely, friendly and close knit team
  • work alongside a certificate holder in surgery and a Vet working towards a certificate in ophthalmology
  • CPD allowance and funding towards certificates
  • fantastic West Yorkshire location Halifax is in the Pennines area of hills and mountains and only 12 miles south-west of Leeds city centre.

Person Requirements

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • good routine surgical and medical skills
  • at least 2 years + experience
  • wanting to progress career and develop interests.
