Castell Howell Foods is Wales' leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Production Hygiene Operative based at our butchery, Celtica Foods in Cross Hands.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of the Hygiene team, you will be responsible for the cleaning of production, storage and changing areas of the building. This will include:

  • Complete deep cleaning as directed by the Production Managers to include floors, walls, drains, ceilings, sinks, production equipment, production furniture, processing machinery and cleaning equipment
  • Complete all cleaning to the acceptable standard of 'Visually clean and free from all product debris and/or residue'
  • Follow the cleaning methods specified by the Technical Manager to ensure cleaning is effective and to an acceptable standard
  • Use of cleaning chemicals as specified but the Technical Manager
  • Correctly use colour coded cleaning equipment
  • Correctly use PPE as instructed at all times
  • To work in a manner that supports food safety and Health and Safety
  • Ensure that all cleaning records and documentation are completed accurately and signed

  • A full-time position working Monday-Friday 08:30-18:00 plus 1 Saturday in 4, 06:00-12:00
