Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in London, Park Royal, for a Fleet Manager at Yolk Expressa. The Fleet Manager will oversee daily fleet operations, including managing vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating maintenance schedules. Responsibilities will also include optimizing operations to achieve efficiency, analysing data to improve fleet performance, and implementing cost-effective measures. The role requires close collaboration with drivers, operations staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure timely and safe delivery services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs.
  • Oversee equipment checks, certificates, MOTs, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all vehicles have valid insurance, road tax, and required licenses.
  • Manage Autopay, congestion charges, and related payments.
  • Oversee truck licences, compliance documentation, and renewals.
  • Ensure vehicle availability and readiness for client assignments.
  • Monitor and control fuel usage per vehicle, identifying irregularities.
  • Manage claims, incident reports, and communication with insurers.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records on spreadsheets and fleet management systems.
  • Negotiate with vendors, garages, and service suppliers.
  • Monitor GPS/telematics data to track vehicle locations, usage, and performance.
  • Support planning for fleet expansion, replacement, or optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations.
  • Provide regular operational and cost reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Fleet Operations, Fleet Management, and Operations Management
  • Transport Manager CPC Certificate will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent Analytical Skills for optimizing route efficiency, maintenance schedules, and cost management
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage and coordinate a team
  • Proven experience in a logistics or transportation management role
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and related tools
  • A valid driver's license is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
