Hafod is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of housing schemes — from land-led developments to refurbishments and S106 acquisitions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of housing projects from feasibility to post-completion.
  • Ensure schemes meet programme, budget, quality, and compliance targets.
  • Champion high standards in housing design and delivery aligned with WDQR standards and net zero goals.
  • Manage funding applications, planning strategies, and statutory consents.
  • Provide strategic leadership to Project Managers and Quality Officers.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and community engagement.
  • Represent Hafod in strategic forums and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or equivalent in a construction or development-related field.
  • Proven experience delivering housing schemes via JCT Design & Build contracts.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets over £5m.
  • Knowledge of Welsh Government housing policy and funding mechanisms (desirable).
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable homes that make a difference.
