Estate Planning Consultant – Devon (Self-Employed)

About the Role

We are looking for a professional Estate Planning Consultant based in Devon to join our growing team at LCS Legal. This is a self-employed, client-facing role involving visiting clients in their homes to provide expert advice and assistance with Wills and other estate administration services.

The role combines company-provided appointments with the opportunity to generate your own local business, so we're looking for someone who is not only professional and approachable, but also proactive in creating and managing their own diary.

You will work from home and travel to client appointments throughout Devon, with optional use of our Dawlish officefor meetings or support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend home visits to meet clients and take instructions for Wills and Estate Planning documents.
  • Provide professional advice on:
  • Wills and Estate Planning
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Trusts and Advance Directives
  • Probate, Executor and Trustee Services
  • Document Storage and Land Transactions
  • Receive qualified leads from the company and follow up proactively.
  • Develop your own network and appointments within your local area.
  • Maintain high standards of client service, confidentiality, and accuracy.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who is based in Devon, with at least one year's experience in the Estate Planning or related legal/financial sector.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in estate planning, will writing, or related services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own schedule
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A proactive, trustworthy, and client-focused approach

Desirable:

  • Estate Planning or legal qualifications
  • Experience working in a self-employed or commission-based environment

Training & Support

You'll complete a short induction and training programme (either remotely or at our Dawlish Head Office) to ensure you're confident with our products and services. Continuous training and marketing support are provided to help you succeed and grow your client base.
