Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Coach (Swimming Coach) to join our team. Based in Halifax you will play a vital role in delivering engaging swimming sessions that promote safety, skill development, and confidence among participants. Your contribution will support our goal of making sports accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during sessions by adhering to safety protocols.
• Motivate and encourage learners to achieve their personal best.
• Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the swimming facilities.
• Support the development of technical, physical, psychological, and social skills in learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to organize community camps.
• Promote positive sporting values and healthy lifestyles within the community.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience in sports coaching or swimming instruction.
• Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage diverse groups.
• Relevant certifications in swimming coaching or lifeguarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for promoting health, wellbeing, and sporting values.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to swimming activities is preferred.
