Marketing and Events Assistant
Are you someone who loves turning ideas into action, enjoys juggling creative marketing with real-world delivery, and wants to be part of a team that genuinely cares about quality, people and success?
We're looking for a Marketing & Events Assistant to join our small but mighty team at SCCO — an organisation that delivers high-quality professional education, runs inspiring events across the UK and Europe, and believes that great work comes from commitment, collaboration and a sense of fun.
About the role
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days look the same. You'll be supporting our Marketing & Operations Manager and working closely with our admin and finance colleagues to help promote, deliver and evaluate our programme of courses and events.
If you enjoy:
- Writing great copy
- Creating campaigns that actually get noticed
- Seeing events come to life (and making sure they run smoothly)
- Working in a supportive team where your ideas are welcome
…then you'll feel right at home.
What you'll be doing
You'll be involved in the full mix of marketing and events activity, including:
- Helping to shape and deliver our online presence across website, email and social media (especially LinkedIn & Instagram)
- Creating engaging content and campaign copy that reflects our purpose and values
- Scheduling posts, managing channels, and keeping our digital presence fresh and relevant
- Updating website content so everything works together and impact can be measured
- Supporting course promotion with targeted, cross-platform campaigns
- Assisting with market research and spotting trends and opportunities
- Getting involved in brainstorming, problem-solving and idea generation
- Supporting the coordination and delivery of events and courses
- Working with the admin team on bookings, enquiries, venues and logistics
- Helping prepare reports and insights so we can keep improving what we do
This is a role where you'll learn a lot, take on responsibility, and see the direct impact of your work.
About you
We're not looking for perfection — we're looking for someone who's curious, capable, organised and enjoys getting stuck in.
You'll likely have:
- At least 12 months' experience in a marketing role (B2B a bonus)
- A marketing qualification (or be working towards one)
- Strong copywriting skills and a good eye for tone and audience
- Experience with social media, email marketing and scheduling tools
- Some familiarity with websites (WordPress ideal)
- Experience using HubSpot (or confidence learning it)
- Great organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Confidence working independently while knowing when to ask for support
Why work with us?
- You'll be trusted, valued and supported
- Your skills and commitment will be noticed
- You'll work with people who care deeply about doing things well
- There's space to grow, learn and take on more
- We're serious about success — but we're human, friendly and collaborative while we get there
- 22 days annual leave and pension.
- Free Parking on site
