Project Surveyor
to join our Building operating unit. You will play a pivotal role in the commercial management and successful delivery of a high-profile, commercial project in Cambridge.
What you'll do:
- Control the cost management for project and provide financial reporting regularly.
- Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Ensure all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
- Assist in risk and opportunity management (with operations team) of known and newly identified risks and opportunities for best project return.
- Utilise and comply with company procedures in relation to commercial site procedures; systems, cost control, variations of contract and method of measurement.
- Participate in managing the Design Change Management philosophy in accordance with the Project Strategy to include, design change, scope variation, instruction and programme change
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience working on Design & Build construction projects.
- BSc, HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject, preferably a RICS accredited course.
- Proven track record working on similar scale of projects with JCT contract experience.
- Understand and articulate the construction process/sequence.
- Have working knowledge of the environmental, health and safety standards expected on site.
