ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As Data Management AI Manager, you will lead the integration of Generative AI into data management practices, delivering predictive insights, automating reporting processes, and embedding responsible AI principles. You will shape and scale GenAI capabilities across Data Management domains, aligning with the Group's Data & AI Strategy and enterprise technology objectives.

This role sits within the Data Management team, part of our Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). Guided by a clear Data & AI Strategy, Data Management is a key pillar of our vision for LBG to lead the market in modern, effective approaches to managing data—championing federated models and automation of controls.

The Data Management AI, Automation and Reporting team drives the integration of artificial intelligence and automation into data management practices. Our mission is to deliver predictive insights, optimise and automate reporting processes, and embed ethical innovation—creating scalable, trusted data solutions aligned with CDAO and Group-wide Data and Technology objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Day to day, you will:

Design and Deploy GenAI Solutions for Data Management
Build and operationalise Generative AI models to automate documentation, metadata enrichment, and policy monitoring across data management workflows.

  • Embed GenAI into Reporting and Analytics Pipelines
Integrate AI-driven automation into reporting processes, enabling dynamic dashboards, real-time insights, and conversational analytics for business users.

  • Develop AI Agents and Agentic Workflows
Create intelligent assistants and autonomous agents that streamline data quality checks, lineage validation, and control automation.

  • Champion Ethical and Responsible AI Practices
Ensure all AI solutions adhere to fairness, transparency, and compliance standards, embedding bias detection and governance frameworks.

  • Drive AI Innovation and Adoption Across Data Management
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to scale GenAI capabilities within Data Management, influence strategic roadmaps, and deliver measurable business value.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Technical Expertise

    • Proven track record of using out‑of‑the‑box GenAI services (e.g., Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI) to design prompts, configure guardrails, and orchestrate workflows that reduce manual effort and unlock faster insights

    • Prompt engineering and orchestration: design robust prompts, templates, and guardrails; implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and tool‑use patterns for high‑accuracy outputs.

    • LLM lifecycle configuration: adapt and evaluate foundation models, manage registries, versions, and rollbacks.

  • Data Management & Analytics

    • Good understanding of data governance, metadata management, and reporting automation.

    • Ability to integrate Generative AI into enterprise-scale data workflows and optimise processes for efficiency.

  • Leadership & Collaboration

    • Skilled in defining AI strategies, prioritising use cases, and influencing senior stakeholders.

    • Experience coaching teams and fostering AI fluency across business and technical communities.
