We're on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we shape finance for good. We're focusing on the future—investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone, including you

The Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) Platform is central to our Consumer Relationships BU, supporting our Group Personalisation strategy to deliver more relevant experiences for customers. As we continue to evolve our platform, we're looking for a Responsible AI Manager to join our Data Management & Governance team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how we embed AI responsibly across the PEC Platform, supporting delivery of exciting AI use cases, and the ethical and transparent technology solutions for our customers.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Leading Responsible AI Practices: Enable the ethical, safe, and transparent use of AI across the platform, ensuring AI solutions are developed with strong guardrails and controls.
  • AI Governance: Contribute to the development and application of frameworks for AI governance, in line with regulatory requirements & policy, but support delivery at pace.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide guidance to Product Owners and Engineering stakeholders on responsible AI use, risk awareness, and compliance.
  • Consent & Data Ethics: Support the management of data consents and privacy, helping ensure AI models respect customer choices and legal standards.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities to use AI and data to support business initiatives and customer outcomes.
  • Change Support: Support change initiatives to embed responsible AI principles in our ways of working and team culture.

About you

  • Proven Responsible AI Experience: You've applied responsible AI principles, ideally within financial services or regulated industries. You've contributed to or led the development of frameworks that ensure ethical and transparent AI use.
  • AI Risk & Governance Expertise: You understand the risks associated with AI and data usage, including privacy, bias, and compliance. You've supported or implemented AI guardrails & monitoring solutions to mitigate the risks.
  • Data Ethics & Consent Management: You're familiar with managing data consents and privacy controls and can translate ethical considerations into practical solutions.
  • Stakeholder Influence: You've worked closely with cross-functional teams—Product Owners, Engineers, Legal, Risk—to embed responsible AI practices. You're confident communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Change Leadership: You've supported or led initiatives that embed responsible AI into team culture and ways of working, driving adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: You always consider the customer impact of AI solutions and are committed to delivering fair, transparent, and valuable outcomes.
  • Analytical & Creative Problem Solving: You bring a structured approach to problem solving, with the creativity to identify opportunities where AI can deliver meaningful business and customer value.

Additional Skills:

  • AI Storytelling: Ability to help communicate AI insights and risks clearly.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Customer Communications, Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, Decisioning and other AI tools/services.
  • Business Intelligence & Visualisation: Ability to support the creation and interpretation of visualisations for decision-making.
  • Data Management & Governance: Understanding of data management and governance principles.

About working for us

Our focus is to ensure we are inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it is why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We are disability confident. So, if you would like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

So, if you are excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch.

We would love to hear from you

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks.  We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.

We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we're building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
