Technical Write
r to join our product development team in Broxburn, West Lothian. If you find yourself interacting with products, thinking "I have no idea how I am supposed to use this, they should be explaining it better" then keep reading. This role is all about ensuring all of our product guidance is clear, concise and easy to understand so our customers can get the most out of their products from day 1 of usage

What you'll**

  • doLive and breath Ooni products so you can translate complex product features into easy to understand guidance for our custome
  • rsEmbody our value of rigour, ensuring documentation is delivered to a world class level of detail but with maximum accessibili
  • tyCreate the content for physical and online technical documentation, including packaging, user manuals, essential guides and FA
  • QsImplement processes and ways of working that expedite and control the consistency and quality of Ooni documentati
  • onWork with stakeholders across the business including product development, compliance, legal and marketing teams to ensure consistency and understandi
  • ngEnsure all documentation meets relevant legal requirements in each of our marke
  • tsEnsure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all mediu
  • msVerify any product claims are robust and sufficiently proven before committing to pri
  • ntCarry out comprehension studies to validate the materia
  • lsMinimise the environmental impact through the optimised use of diagrams and symbols and the minimal requirement for translation
  • s.Create technical images using existing 3D mode

What you'll need to succe**

  • ed Experience in technical writing such as developing user manuals, online FAQ's or other technical documentat
  • ionExperience managing legislative requirements, such as those found in standards or directi
  • vesExperience of digital copy and other asset management & control too
  • ls.Experience interpreting risk assessments and other risk management to
  • olsExperience in user experience copy, drafting clear concise instructions and performing user testing to verify proces
  • sesExcellent verbal and written communication with a comprehensive grasp of Engl

  • nesIdeally a degree or qualification in Engineer
