Goldfinch & Partners is pleased to be partnering with a distinguished boutique law firm in Altrincham to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor, following the planned departure of a senior team member at the end of October.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join a close-knit, high-performing private client team. You will be advising on all aspects of private client work, acting for HNW individuals and families in the North West and across the UK. The successful candidate will take on an established caseload and enjoy genuine autonomy and client contact from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a full, complex private client caseload, including:

  • Wills and Powers of Attorney

  • Estate Planning and Administration

  • Inheritance and Trust matters

  • Contested Probate and Estate Disputes

  • Advising on tax implications for HNW clients and supporting legacy planning and family governance issues

  • Liaising regularly with high net worth clients, financial advisors and third parties

  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and practice to deliver best-in-class advice

About You:

  • At least 3 years' PQE in private client law

  • Demonstrable expertise in wills, estate planning, trusts, inheritance tax, and contested probate

  • Strong technical knowledge with outstanding client care and communication skills

  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

  • Organised, detail-driven and commercially astute

Location & Flexibility:

  • Office based in Altrincham, with one day a week in Lymm

  • Flexible working options available after a successful 6-month probation period
