Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete installations and repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and systems as required.
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation and repair procedures.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to system troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe sizes, and other technical tasks.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments under time constraints. All applicants must possess relevant qualifications or experience in plumbing or related trades.
