Role Purpose
We're looking for a Hospitality Techonology Technician to join our brilliant IT Support Team

Position Overview

  • Provide first-line support for EPOS and Retail technology systems across all OVG locations in the UK.
  • Support the configuration and installation of new EPOS terminals, including initial user accounts and permissions.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance including software updates as instructed by vendors and partners.
  • Follow established technical policies and procedures, including comprehensive issue and resolution tracking within the OVG IT support ticketing system.
  • Assisting with staff training on EPOS and hospitality systems across operational teams.
  • Troubleshoot site based connectivity issues and working with our Enterprise Technology Teams to assist in maintaining solutions.
  • Contribute to documentation, training materials and SOP documentation.
  • Providing occasional on-site technical support at venues when remote assistance is not sufficient.

The core schedule is Monday to Friday, with planned, occasional out-of-hours or weekend work during major events, system upgrades, or operational launches.

Core Competencies
Candidates will ideally have experience in hospitality or frontline technology support, gained in one or more of the following environments:

  • Quick Serve Restaurants
  • Fine Dining Restaurants
  • Live Music arenas
  • Sports Stadia

Experience with the following EPOS providers is not required, but preferred:

  • Oracle Micros Simphony
  • My Venue
  • NCR Aloha
  • Global Payments EPOS (Formerly known as Bleep)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience .
  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT support or hospitality role .
  • Experience with hospitality technologies such as EPOS hardware and software, and basic understanding of related infrastructure (Wi-Fi, networking, peripherals, etc.)
  • Genuine interest in hospitality technology and supporting food & beverage operations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
