  • Run and oversee day-to-day operations across Microsoft Fabric, AWS, and Informatica.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and proactive monitoring.
  • Set and enforce SLAs for uptime, data delivery, and platform performance.

Strategic Roadmapping & Improvement

  • Shape and deliver a platform roadmap aligned to business and data strategy.
  • Recommend new tools, enhancements, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Ensure platforms support the delivery of scalable, high-quality data products.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with AWS, Microsoft, Informatica and other partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and ensure strong service delivery.
  • Drive maximum ROI across all platform investments.

Cost Optimisation & ROI

  • Monitor, analyse, and optimise cloud/platform spend.
  • Identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency.
  • Track and report ROI on platform investments.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with product managers, analysts, and business teams to meet organisational needs.
  • Advise leadership on performance, risks, and strategic opportunities.
  • Prioritise platform demand and balance capacity effectively.

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure platforms meet organisational and regulatory data governance standards (e.g., GDPR).
  • Partner with security teams on audits, risk mitigation, and best-practice implementation.

Innovation & Future-Proofing

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud, integration, and analytics technologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team.
  • Explore new solutions that improve performance or unlock new capabilities.

What You'll Bring

  • Deep technical expertise
in Microsoft Fabric, AWS, Informatica, data architectures, and ETL/ELT.
  • Strong
    strategic planning
    and roadmap development skills.
  • Proven
    operational excellence
, platform management, and troubleshooting capability.
  • Experience managing
    vendors
    , contracts, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Confident
    leader
able to work in a matrixed environment and mentor teams.
  • Strong
    project management
    background (including Agile delivery).
  • Solid
    business acumen
and understanding of data's role in organisational success.
  • Knowledge of
    data governance
    , privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Analytical mindset
with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
  • Adaptability and curiosity for emerging technologies.
