About The Role (External)
What you'll be doing
No two days will be the same. You'll:
- Lead fire safety inspections and risk assessments, offering practical, specialist advice.
- Shape the way we work by interpreting and applying codes, standards and legislation.
- Oversee contracts and suppliers, making sure safety comes first in everything we procure and deliver.
- Empower colleagues by supporting training and building fire safety awareness across the organisation.
- Play a critical role in fire investigations and develop smarter, safer policies and practices.
- Provide assurance on major projects, helping design and maintain world-class, safe infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who bring both technical skill and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you'll have:
- Membership or graduate status with the Institution of Fire Engineers (or equivalent).
- Experience in fire safety inspection, risk assessment, and training delivery.
- A solid grasp of UK fire safety legislation and codes of practice.
- Strong communication skills — able to influence, advise, and work with a wide range of stakeholders.

Salary
: £35,582 to £46,909 + £3270 inner London allowance.
This role is now being advertised in salary zone 2.
