Jets Nursery currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring, fun-loving person to join our team.

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner with a level 2 or 3 qualification to work with our 2-4 year olds. Your main roles and responsibilities will be:

  • To have good knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, what it is used for and why.
  • To support the planning and implementation of activities with individual or groups of children, promoting effective teaching and learning.
  • Provide a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • To promote the inclusion of all children.
  • To meet the physical needs of children, encouraging good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence.
  • To support the nursery's commitment on safeguarding children in all aspects of the nursery service.
  • To support the team to monitor and evaluate children's learning through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies, working alongside our SENCO.
  • To provide objective and accurate feedback and reports for parents and other professionals on children's achievements, progress and related matters.
  • To be proactive on the continuation of your own learning to improve the outcomes for children and their families.

This position is to cover maternity leave with the opportunity to take on a more permanent role if and when they arise. The position is 30 hours per week, term time with 6 additional weeks of holiday club cover at 25 hours(Pro-rata). The shifts are Monday to Friday from 8.45am-3.15pm.
