We are supporting a well-established corporate-backed group through a key period of transition. With a new Financial Controller being appointed, this business requires an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to provide stability, lead key elements of year-end and contribute to ongoing finance improvement work.

Joining a supportive and experienced finance team, you'll play an essential role in maintaining control, delivering accurate reporting and supporting practical changes across systems and processes as the organisation continues to modernise.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Year-End

  • Lead preparation for year-end and support external audit.
  • Deliver accurate month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and group reporting standards.

Controls & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Uphold high-quality balance sheet and cashflow reporting.

Forecasting & Support

  • Assist budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support decision-making.

Process & System Development

  • Contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancements.
  • Support finance system development and efficiency initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting background.
  • Confident supporting audit and year-end delivery.
  • Experience in a corporate or group-reporting environment.
  • Proactive, organised and able to operate independently when required..
  • Comfortable managing change and improving processes in a steady, practical way.
