Our practice, Houghton Regis Dental Practice, is looking for a Trainee Dental Nurse. No dental experience is necessary, just a fantastic attitude, confident with patients and being happy to work in a medical environment. After your successful probation we will support you through the professional dental nursing qualification, NEBDN, with Kings College.

DAY TO DAY DUTIES:

  • To support the Head Nurse and Senior Nurse in the day-to-day running of the practice.
  • To complement the dental team by performing extended duties as per experience and training received and in accordance with the needs of the practice.
  • To act as an essential part of the team, setting the standard for excellence in dental nursing.
  • To support, mentor and develop trainee nurses to enable them to reach their full potential and deliver training in line with business requirements, processes, and standards.
  • Patient care: Engage with patients to discuss treatment plans and options as required ensuring a personal and appropriate level of care.
  • Stock: Ensure your surgery is stocked in line with surgery levels and carry out audits of stocks.
  • Finance: Communicate with the patient in relation to finance options which Obex offers. Explain treatment plans, discuss, and investigate account balances with patients.

Education and qualification(s)

GCSE Maths and English.

Willingness to travel.

Clean driving licence.
