Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of food preparation.
  • Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to recipe specifications and presented attractively.
  • Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards, storage procedures, and allergen control.
  • Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
  • Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations.
  • Assist in developing new recipes and culinary innovations to enhance the menu offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings.
  • Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills.
  • Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and restaurant operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
