Bellsway Children's Residential Home, based in Willenhall, Walsall, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. We provide high-quality care and support for children and young people with emotional and behaviour difficulties (EBD).

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Deputy Manager located in Willenhall. The Deputy Manager will oversee daily operations, support staff development, and ensure the delivery of exceptional care aligned with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, proven experience in residential childcare, and a passion for ensuring that children receive the highest possible standard of care. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of care planning and regulatory compliance, alongside the ability to inspire, support, and develop staff teams. The role also involves liaising with families and external stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and foster high levels of trust.
Duties
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant standards.
- Supervise, lead, and support residential care staff, promoting professional development and best practice.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages the well-being and personal growth of children and young people.
- Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to develop and implement individualised care and placement plans.
- Administer and oversee medication procedures in line with policies and protocols.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and adherence to safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
- Take on delegated responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or Deputy Manager role within a children's residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A caring, resilient, and child-centred approach.

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
