Professional Lead/Consultant Psychologist

This is a rare opportunity to join our high-performing Forensic Division as a Lead & Consultant Psychologist, at an exciting time as we bring together all psychological professions. A registered psychologist with experience and expertise in offending behaviour, trauma, and a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties, you have opportunity to work within your chosen areas of specialism.
Providing professional leadership to the Psychological Professionals across all service lines, supporting strategic planning, service development, and quality improvement, this is a key role in shaping care from community to community.
You will hold a small caseload and provide specialist consultation and clinical supervision to psychologists and wider MDT colleagues. We value the different strengths and interests brought by each member, offering you the chance to practice within models of your choice.
You will report professionally to the Associate Director of Psychological Professions and have a network of other lead psychologists and PPs. Strategic and project work will be expected for the development of the psychological professionals and ensuring that psychological thinking is at the heart of all practice.
We value CPD: we have strong links with the University of Hull, as host provider for the DCLinPsyc, and support a wide range of other training pathways, with teaching, training and supervision opportunities.
The successful candidate will:
professionally and strategically lead the psychological professionals in the forensic division, across in-patient, community and prison services, providing clinical oversight to all services.
provide clinical expertise, expert case consultation and case work with the most complex cases, and clinical supervision of other cases
undertake delegated tasks from the Associate Director for Psychological Professions.
be part of the senior leadership of the forensic division and represent the division in Trust-wide and regional projects and forums where required.
