Service Care Solutions are working alongside a nationally recognised addiction rehabilitation centre who are looking to recruit a Clinical Lead to join their team on a permanent basis. Please find a description of the role below.

Clinical Lead/Clinical Practice Manager

Role Overview:

  • Lead and manage the nursing team, providing supervision, performance management, and professional development.
  • Oversee safe and high-quality clinical care, including admissions, detox protocols, medication management, and treatment planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Controlled Drugs legislation, clinic policies, and safe storage/administration procedures.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, SOPs, and local protocols (e.g., detox pathways, safeguarding, infection control).
  • Drive clinical governance activities: audits, incident reporting, clinical supervision, and quality improvement.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (GPs, addiction specialists, pharmacies, safeguarding teams) for integrated care.
  • Provide clinical cover and leadership during emergencies, complex cases, or inspections.
  • Ensure staff compliance with mandatory training, appraisals, and professional registration requirements.
  • Support workforce planning, rostering, and service continuity in collaboration with the Clinical Lead and Registered Manager.
  • Contribute to business continuity plans, commissioning requirements, and statutory reporting (e.g., Care Quality Commission).

Clinical Experience:

  • Registered Non-Medical Prescriber (NMC, GPhC, or equivalent) with current professional registration.
  • Extensive clinical experience in substance misuse treatment, detoxification, and rehabilitation.
  • Proven experience in clinical leadership, operational oversight, and medicines management.
  • Strong knowledge of controlled drugs legislation, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
