Traffic Nights Supervisor

We're now looking for a Traffic Night Supervisor to join our Transport team at Low Marnham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with transport experience who thrives in a busy, team-focused environment and enjoys ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently through the night.

Shift: Monday- Friday 6pm-4am

Responsibilities:

  • To supervise and control all the drivers under your jurisdiction.
  • Assess meaningful workloads for the HGV drivers against customer requirements taking into account the EU/UK Drivers Hours Regulations and the Working Time Legislation.
  • Provide a smooth operation of the transport from shift to shift in line with EU/UK legislation, company rules and procedures reporting via the transport management system -TMS.
  • Comply with and manage all of your assigned driver's health, safety & wellbeing responsibilities.
  • To provide support and guidance to all drivers answering any queries they may have.
  • Offer guidance to drivers when they have been involved in any type of accident, including Road Traffic Accidents. All such accident or instances need to be reported to the relevant people.
  • Assist where necessary with the completion of driver's paperwork and customers paperwork is dealt with appropriately.
  • Ensure all staff under your jurisdiction are trained appropriately and follow the relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Tool Box talks.
  • Report all notifiable defects to the garage - immediately.
  • Ensure deliveries and collections are dealt with in a timely and quality manner satisfying the customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Transport knowledge required
  • Ideally hold a CPC / HGV Licence, not essential as no driving required.
  • Team player but can work off own initiative

Due to location, the candidate must have their own transport.
