About Us
We are a well-established property group based in Loughborough, managing approximately 150 student houses alongside a range of investment and development projects. Our businesses — Donkey Digs (student lettings) and ThePPM (Property, Project & Maintenance Specialists) — are recognised locally for quality, reliability, and service.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our in-house maintenance team on a full-time basis.
Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of day-to-day repairs, maintenance, and property improvement tasks across our managed student portfolio in Loughborough. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work in a friendly, professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive and planned maintenance across residential student properties.
- Undertake a variety of repair tasks including plumbing, joinery, decorating, and basic electrical work.
- Perform general upkeep such as gardening, fencing, and external maintenance when required.
- Diagnose and resolve household maintenance issues efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
- Report and record work completed using company systems.
- Support property refurbishments and improvement projects where required.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with tenants and landlords.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a similar multi-trade role.
- Good working knowledge of plumbing, joinery, and general household repairs.
- Competent in decorating, minor plastering, and general finishing works.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and problem solve on site.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs
- Good interpersonal skills due to significant tenant contact in the role.
