EDGE Innovate are currently looking to recruit an experienced Forklift Driver to join our busy team. The successful candidate will operate forklift trucks to load and unload goods and deliveries, and move production materials to their allocated locations in the factory as per production schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To take delivery of goods and ensure they are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity.

  2. Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates to allocated locations in the factory.

  3. Alert Supervisor on receipt of urgent deliveries.

  4. Perform general physical activities when loading, unloading products by hand or using forklift/material moving equipment.

  5. Checking loads are secure.

  6. Move production materials/kits from one location to another as per production schedule.

  7. Performing daily equipment checks.

  8. Assist in maintaining storage area and carry out general yard duties.

  9. Ensure excellent standards of housekeeping are maintained.

  10. Assist with factory wide stock takes as and when required.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications,& Experience

  • Good standard of general education;
  • 2 years' experience working in a similar role within a heavy manufacturing environment.

Desirable

  • Forklift qualifications

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team;
  • Excellent organisational skills to ensure deadlines are achieved;
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including bending, stretching, reaching and lifting;
  • Demonstrate the ability to work safely and properly use equipment;
