The NHS Lothian Pharmacologistics Service has responsibility for the overlabelling of medicines. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly pharmacy team, as Pharmacy Technician Higher Level. You'll be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, working as part of a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure the safe and effective supply of medicines to patients. A PDCT is essential for this post.

About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our well-established pharmacy team. Our team consists of pharmacy technicians and PSWs, all working together to ensure the safe provision of medicines across the site.
This role will have opportunities to work within a variety of different technical areas. Your role will include assisting in the preparation and distribution of medicines and stock management. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop the necessary skills.

About you
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician with a passion for delivering exceptional clinical care.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
- HN Unit: Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Award (provided by Buttercups or NPA, 2019 or before)
- Candidates are expected to hold a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Pharmacy Services Development and Management. However, individuals who do not possess this qualification but can demonstrate equivalent professional experience may also be considered. In such instances, a Mapping Assessment Form must be completed and submitted as part of the application process.
