Job Description:

We are looking for a Fitter's Mate or Trainee Installer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, and wants to build a long term career in window and door installation.

You will work alongside one of our experienced installers, helping with day to day tasks on site while learning the full installation process. Over time, and with the right attitude, the role will progress into a full installer position.

The ideal candidate will be practical, reliable, have a positive attitude, and take pride in doing a job properly. You do not need experience with sash windows, although any carpentry or site experience will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist installers with the installation of timber sash windows, casement windows, and doors

  • Help with lifting, carrying, and preparing materials

  • Learn how to use hand and power tools safely

  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe

  • Support with removing old windows and doors

  • Follow instructions from the lead installer and work as part of a team

  • Communicate politely and professionally with clients

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards

Requirements:

  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Able to work on your feet and lift heavy items

  • Some experience with tools, site work, or basic carpentry is helpful but not essential

  • Must be able to work across various locations in London

  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential for the trainee role)

  • Good level of spoken English

Experience:

  • No industry experience required

  • Any construction, labouring, or carpentry background is a bonus
