PSJ fabrications, a Wood subsidiary company are recruiting for two Fettlers to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication team based in Bedford. This is a temporary role for approximately 9-12 months, required to start as soon as possible.

The Role

The Fettler will work to remove excess metal and imperfections using hand tools, grinders and other equipment.

Working as a team to deliver for our client base, including customers in heavily regulated industries such as Nuclear and Defence.

The Key Objective of this role are:

  • To complete all work scopes communicated by the line supervisor in accordance with work pack / job card instructions
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe execution of all activities
  • Support overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
  • Awareness of physical condition of plant and equipment to ensure technical integrity is maintained
  • Awareness of personal safety, that of others and risks associated with the scope
