PSJ fabrications, a Wood subsidiary company are recruiting for an Assembly Operator to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication team based in Bedford. This is a temporary role for approximately 9-12 months, required to start as soon as possible.

 

The Role 

The Assembly Operator will carry out fitting tasks in assembly, assisting to create finished products. This will require working with machinery and tools to assemble parts and components, predominantly for use within the nuclear sector.

Responsibilities

The Key Objective of this role are:   

  • To complete all work scopes communicated by the line supervisor in accordance with work pack / job card instructions 
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe execution of all activities
  • Support overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
  • Awareness of physical condition of plant and equipment to ensure technical integrity is maintained
  • Awareness of personal safety, that of others and risks associated with the scope
