As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated and dependable Groundworker & Yard Operative to join our team.

Role Overview:

This is a hands-on role involving a mix of primarily general groundwork (with elements of machine driving) with regular yard duties, and support with plant machinery handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general groundwork such as earthmoving, concreting, drainage, fencing, and basic landscaping
  • Basic machine driving experience ESSENTIAL
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free yard environment
  • Assist with machinery preparation, cleaning, and minor maintenance when required
  • Support deliveries and collections
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the day-to-day operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a groundwork or yard-based role preferred
  • Confidence operating forklifts and/or plant machinery (valid licences are preferred)
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a good work ethic
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical or tool knowledge is required
