The People's Recovery Project is dedicated to creating innovative, alternative, and additional pathways that help individuals transition out of homelessness and into recovery. The organisation focuses on supporting those who are experiencing homelessness and addiction. By fostering inclusive, community-driven solutions, the initiative seeks to empower individuals, promote recovery, and enable sustainable change.

Role Description

The Recovery Community Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with the local community, organising outreach efforts, and planning impactful recovery-focused activities and events. The role involves building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting community-driven initiatives, and fostering positive change within the recovery and homeless communities. This is a full-time hybrid position situated in London offering flexibility around working hours and remote working.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Community Engagement and Community Outreach, with a strong commitment to serving diverse populations.
  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to connect effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Proficiency in Event Planning and coordination to effectively manage community events and initiatives.
  • Experience in Community Organising to advocate for and support recovery-focused initiatives.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for addressing issues related to homelessness and addiction recovery.
  • Flexibility to adapt and work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote work as needed.

Salary

£35000 per annum FTE initial one year fixed term contract.
